Janelle graduated from Bradley University and began her career at a public accounting firm, where she gained valuable experience working with a variety of businesses. It was also there that she met her husband, Jarrad.

After getting married, Janelle chose to leave the firm to take on a unique challenge of managing the financial side of a small business that had recently gone through a divorce between its owners. She helped bring stability and organization to the company’s finances, building systems that allowed the business to run smoothly and confidently move forward.

Once that business was on solid ground, Janelle transitioned to a larger company as their Controller. During her time there, she played a key role in the company’s growth, helping expand the business from one location in Illinois to three locations, along with an office in New York. Throughout that period of growth, Janelle focused heavily on managing cash flow to ensure the business could sustain its expansion. She also spent time analyzing productivity and processes while keeping customer satisfaction at the center of decision-making.

In 2024, Janelle’s family needed her at home, which led her to start a new chapter; one that aligned closely with both her professional skills and personal priorities. She founded KFS with the vision of helping small businesses in her community succeed while also being present for her family.

Today, Janelle is passionate about being a mom and wife while also using her experience to support other small business owners. Through KFS, she provides dependable accounting and payroll services that help business owners stay organized, make informed decisions, and focus their time on what matters most.

Jarrad graduated from Illinois State University and began his career in public accounting, where he built a strong foundation in financial reporting, analysis, and business operations.

While Jarrad currently has a successful career outside of KFS, he remains an important part of the business behind the scene.  As co-owner, he works closely with Janelle to help guide key decisions, provide strategic insight, and support the continued growth of the company.

His background in accounting and his thoughtful perspective make him a valuable partner in shaping the direction of KFS and ensuring the business continues to serve small business owners in the community with care and integrity.
